Cage tows Loch Tuath, Mull 16 - 26 July 2026

Bakkafrost Scotland (BFS) will be carrying out a series of cage grid tows in Loch Tuath, Isle of Mull. The tows will take place between 16th July 2026 and the 26th July 2026 and the towing vessel will have limited manouverability during this time. The cage grid will be towed in sections from north of Gometra to north of Ulva. Mariners are requested to navigate with caution in this area.

Throughout operations, the vessel will be displaying the shapes and lights prescribed in the International Rules for the Prevention of Collisions at Sea (COLREGS) Rule 27 and will be displaying the prescribed shapes and lights when the vessel is restricted in its ability to manoeuvre.

It is requested that anybody knowing of any objects submerged or moored on the seabed, within the survey area, that could be damaged or form a hazard to the vessel and its equipment advises BFS of their position and nature. A listening watch will be maintained on VHF Channel 16.
