Hydrographic Survey, West Loch Roag Lewis, April - July 2026
Bakkafrost Scotland (BFS) will conduct a Hydrographic survey in West Loch Roag starting on 2nd April 2026 and lasting approximately 100 days, weather depending.
Throughout operations, the survey vessel will be displaying the shapes and lights prescribed in the International Rules for the Prevention of Collisions at Sea (COLREGS) Rule 27 and will be displaying the prescribed shapes and lights when the vessel is restricted in its ability to manoeuvre. Anybody knowing of any potential objects submerged or moored on the seabed within the survey area, that could be damaged or form a hazard to the vessel and its equipment should advise BFS of their position and nature. When operations commence a listening watch will be maintained on VHF Channel 12 and 16 when within the appropriate port authority area.
