Hydrographic Survey west of Gigha October 2025 to October 2026

Bakkafrost Scotland will be carrying out a Hydrographic survey in West of Gigha. The proposed works are planned to start on 6th October 2025 and will last approximately one year, weather depending.The deployment location will be marked by 1 yellow buoy, marked “survey” and 1 orange buoy.
Mariners are requested to navigate with caution in this area.
It is requested that anybody having knowledge of any potential objects submerged or moored on the seabed, within the survey area, that could be damaged or form a hazard to the vessel and its equipment advises BFS of their position and nature. When operations commence a listening watch will be maintained on VHF Channel 12 and 16.
