Hydrographic Surveys east of South Harris November 2025 - February 2026
Bakkafrost Scotland will be carrying out three hydrographic surveys near East Loch Tarbert, Isle of Harris. The works are planned to start on Thursday 20th November and will last approximately 100 days, weather depending.
Each deployment location will be marked by 1 yellow buoy, marked “survey”, and one orange buoy.
Mariners are requested to navigate with caution in these areas.
Throughout operations, the survey vessel will be displaying the shapes and lights prescribed in the International Rules for the Prevention of Collisions at Sea (COLREGS) Rule 27 and will be displaying the prescribed shapes and lights when the vessel is restricted in its ability to manoeuvre. A listening watch will be maintained on VHF Channel 12 and 16.
